I replaced all the gas and oil lines including the pick up lines in the tanks. Cleaned carb. Checked muffler screen. Good compression. Has spark.
It ran great the first day, started easy. Now it starts hard and doesn't want stay running. I ve had the whole apart again. I've tried the hi-lo Adjustments from half turn to three turns out. Tried different spark plug. It has low hours and is in good shape.
Its a chain saw.
Any ideas???
Make sure all the cylinder bolts are tight. They do tend to back out slightly.

Two-Stroke
Try checking all bolts, seals, etc that could affect crankcase pressure. Don't forget that a two-cycle engine relies on crankcase pressure to push the fuel-air mixture into the combustion chamber.
Does this engine have a fuel filter? If so, check it. If not, make sure that the entire fuel system is clean -- including all the tiny passages in the carb.

I know you said that you replaced the gas lines, but recheck them because it doesn't take much to draw air into then and it wouldn't run good sucking air. This includes inside the gas tank.

Stupid question, but did you run it without mix? Check the valves. They could have come loose.
