Now I like misplacing my work gloves because then I can't work so I retire to the recliner chair. Now as a mechanic who in the world can ware gloves and be worth a dam.

Try Atlas Mechanic Gloves. Made for mechanics. Snip the end of pinkie finger off to operate cell phone and pick your nose.

Never wear gloves, they just get in the way, but I do get a lot of cuts. A trick I pick up from my Grandfather way to many years ago, but still works great today. In my tool box I always have a small container of "udder balm" or for those of you younger guys cow salve. Any cuts, scraps, pokes, etc. get a coating of this stuff. Day later it is starting to heal and wards off infection. Everything heals faster and is a 1000 times better than the modern stuff. One side effect is that your better half will always know when something happens, because it does have an oder, but cheaper that gloves.

Sometimes I wear gloves, and sometimes I dont so I guess I would be in bad shape either way.

That stuff is good for women,..it keeps their "delicate" parts soft and plyable
For cuts and scrapes on mans hands ordinary used motoroil does wonders

Unless that woman is a farmer, who knows what work is, she wouldn't get caught using it. Plus if you're calling me soft, you've never used it.

As a mechanic I can't work with gloves on and my hands do get dirty and dried out at times. Now I don't put my hands
into harsh chemicals like carburetor cleaned, oil, or grease without protection. It has nothing to do with how tough you think you are its just common sense.

I only wear gloves when I'm cutting hedge or picking weeds

Other than that it's bare hands for me.

Every time I try to wear gloves I wind up spending more time taking them on and off then I do working, not enough dexterity.
Mickey mouse can't be wrong, he always had gloves on.
