Lx420 trans

My transmission whine has gotten worse this year especially in forward no slippage drive belt needs replaced the pulley on the transmission does have play roller bearing I think ...2006 lx420 I would appreciate any help thanks

Vary drive systems should not whine
Some belts can be quite noisy
Both the belts should be replaced as a pair
Check the belt is not rubbing on something and all the pulleys spin free & quietly

You can get a whine from the diff if the lubricant gets too low & that is an old machine but if the lubricant is leaking you should be able to see it
Apart from that there are bushes in the F-N-R shifter that can wear but usually they clack as wear allows the teeth to jump
