I am not a "MASTER Builder" nor would care to be one. I just made a living fixing OPE equipment to run like it was designed to. And wading through all of the clues here
online, make me err on the safe/cheap side, and do the simple/cheap things first.....

Replacing the rear end did not come up in my suggestion, but it did in yours.....

In no way was it indicated that he had the correct belt!!!

It could be a idler pulley going bad too.

Who would know on the scant details we have had supplied here, eh?

I have worked in this business a long time, and I know how folks hate spending 10 extra bucks on the correct belt!!!!

Ok
I assumed he had the right belt because he said he had it put on. That tells me he took it and had the belt put on.

You assumed he went to napa and got the wrong belt.

And it could just be a weak spring on the idler pulley.

We are not having a argument we are having a mature discussion.

Yeah, since the O.P. has made one post, and no more since, there isn't much reason to worry much.

We should demand more info from these guys before we get too wound up on the cure.

I'll try to tone it down a tad, my apologies Carscw!!

Maybe we scared him off.

No need to apologize for speaking your mind.
More people need to say what they think and not worry about who don't like it.

Well, the last one I pissed off the website's owner's wife..............

I am not sure how....... I think it was over money.... I told a moderator that I will no longer pay any money to give advice....

The owner's wife controls the site......
