Lawnmower winterizing

Just a general question. when winterizing a lawnmower is it better to leave the gas tank full w/ Stable and shut the fuel off then run it out.
Or empty it completely and store it dry. I use only non ethanol fuel

1st: I never use stabil. it has an expiration date on jug, & will get sticky. & shutting the fuel off & running it till it quits will NOT fully empty a carb.

On my stuff, I use only 100% gas as well. I leave everything full. If anything, I'll add a bit of Seafoam.

Then service the machine thoroughly prepping it for next season.
