Hi everyone
I tore my 1994 gold series down including the rear wheels and transmission to repaint the deck
I took pictures and thought I put it all back together correctly but noe when I tried to move it it free wheels going forward and lock.s up pulling backwards. I've not started it yet thus is just pushing it on my basement floor. What did I do wrong?

Don’t mean to be insulting. Free wheeling forward and locked up when backing is normal if you have the self-propel engaged. Is the drive belt tight?

On this model two things will cause lockup when pulling backwards, belt too tight or clutch washer and key installied wrong.

Thanks
I think I figured it out I had the clutch washer installed wrong. I installed it the way the diagram looked but it was backwards. I changed them and now it rolls easily forward and backwards

It is easy to get them reversed. Congrats on figuring it out.
