I currently have the displeasure of working on a Toro 522xi with a Kohler CH22 engine. While doing service on it I noticed it has a very small headgasket leak starting on the right side cylinder head. (The one with the oil fill port). It's a little hard to say but does this engine need to be pulled to replace it? Or is it possable to sneak the head out without having to pull the engine? I don't know if the blower shroud can be flexed enough out of the way or not.

Currently the engine is still running fine, I didn't even know it was leaking until I saw a lot of black soot built up on the cooling fins and I can almost feel a slight pulse of exhaust when it's idling.
