Kohle Courage 15 carburetor queries

Conclusion and eventual success: Changed coilpack for new (deemed useless) refixed magnets. Now starts much easier but same problem. Can keep it running but revs not high enough to engage blades and all throttle responses all very hit and miss. Replace old carb using float, inlet needle and solenoid from new carb. Now runs fine, in fact better.

If ordering aftermarket carburetor for Kohler engines in general, I have not had good luck. By that I mean runs, yet hunts and surges. In general, other than Kohler engine aftermarket carburetors, had good success.

I conclude and agree with above from Tiger. Maybe the problem was the numbers didn’t match entirely on the new carb but personally I think the carb wasn’t good.
