Any thoughts on the best way to keep moss from growing on a roof? Every year we go through this ritual of going up on the roof with the hose and a brush and we scrub it off. There's got to be an easier way!

A weak mixture of bleach and water will kill it.... if you have a lot that keeps coming back you could
Mix a bit of Karmex or any other copper herbicide and apply it just to the point of making it damp...

Cut the tree branches back so they aren't hanging over your roof, get the leaves off in the fall and do annual maintenance. Moss loves dirt and moisture which it sounds like you have on your roof.

if you have a shingle roof witch i am assumeing you do what you are doing is hurting the lifeof your shingles when you scrub them the beads are comming of witch shortens the life of them get all the shade away from roof then use a small amout of bleach and hot water that should last about 3 years depending on your locaation.the hot water helps activate the bleach to kill the bacteria.
