I have a ferris 5900030
Kawasaki FS600V-GS01 Twin

Full disclosure, I was working on another forum with this project The members were extremely helpful but the site has become unreachable to me. Getting a 404 error. I'm not sure if the site is temporarily or permanently down. But I digress. I finished my repair which included removing the engine from the machine. I did not disassemble the engine in any way, I just unplugged and unbolted it.

I was testing it out and everything was operating perfectly. I had started and restarted it several times over the course of 20 minutes while I dialed things in and worked on a steering truing issue. The last time I went to shut it down, only one cylinder killed. The right cylinder, the one on the right from the rear which is the higher one, did not kill. I'm wondering how to troubleshoot this. I suspect there's a diode involved with the two coils. I'm wondering what the troubleshooting process is for this but also wondering if this is something I did or is it just a coincidence.

Thank you

You will most likely find one kill wire has fallen off
AFAIK only B & S use external diodes between the magneto coils
