Generally Bert is right as the engine has automatic compression release. But Kawasaki does have a spec listed in the service manual.
As for doing a leak down test , I would do a modified version of the test if you have a low pressure version instead the 100 psi version. This involved disabling the valve train so the mid and lower cylinder areas can be tested too, just not the top of the cylinder as most high pressure testers do. A taper and ovaled lower cylinder will show up in the modified test.
It dangerous to attempt the modified test with the 100 psi testers but a 10-20 psi is lot safer. My current tester operates at 12 psi.
