What is the sump and do I check it for oil? I tightened the nut by hand as tight as I could. Could it be I'm not tightening it enough? When I removed the flywheel the last time the key was deformed or looked partially sheared. I replaced it and it started right up but squealed. And it is a squeal like to pieces of metal rubbing together??? Guess I need to get me a torque wrench??? And yes the starter is disengaging ok.

The sump is the bottom bit of the engine where the oil sits and you check it with the dip stick.
Two peoples decided by a common language is the quote that comes to mind.

When you have the flywheel off have a close look for scrape marks and crud stuck between the magnets.

I put the deck and belts back on, pulled the plugs, cleaned them, put them back in and it ran great for a while, no squealing, then it spit and sputtered and died. Seems to me a fuel problem now???

I found that I didn't have the carburetor links on correctly. All is good now, runs great. Thanks for all your help.
