I'm looking for some info or a pic of your JD RX75 brake system under seat and under body.

I know theres at least one spring maybe two connecting the brake lever from between your feet to the braking system. The JD Scematic isn't as detailed to show exactly how it or they go on. Theres only 1 hole on the lever for what I assume is a missing spring. The JD parts diagram shows 2 options or 2 springs. I just don't get how they connect to lever to engage it.

I'm attaching pics to show the lever from above.

One arrow on right is spring hole, the one on the left I'm wondering is lever supposed to straddle this?

This is from below where the brake rod slides and goes through body under the lever

Any help is appreciated

I know this is an older thread, but I just ran into the same situation and found a pic in the sx85 tech manual. I will attach the pic.lever.JPGIMG_7708.jpg

Yes it just helped me. Mine broke and had no idea where it attaches.
