CUB CADET is good for something also, They make you wish you owned a GOOD MOWER

Well I can tell I've run both, the JD Tractor and ZTR and I've run the CC Tractor and ZTR personally I wouldn't take a JD if you gave it to me. The Cubs have them beat in durability, comfort and cut.

That must be why JD outsells the Cadet 100 to 1

We've had a CC store that has been in business here for the last 40 years. Even with the competition from Home Depot and Tractor Supply they've never closed there doors and that's more than I can say about three of JD stores here went out of business in the last five years, but I guess they closed there doors because they out sold CC 100 to 1.
Get Real

One store don't mean ***** look at world wide sales probably more like 1000 to 1
MTD is Capitalizing on the IH name.
They build it with bushings in the wheels instead of bearings and hope the Cadet name will sell it.

They is nothing made that someone can not build cheaper and sell for less.
The person that consider price alone is that person pray.

I sure hope you don't think John Deere never used bushing in its wheels. The model 68 I am now repairing has bushing in it's front wheels. I looked into replaceing them and the MTD takes the same bushing.

I never looked at those cheapies that Lowe's sell but they may have bushings for all I know but that was the point of my last post, You get what you pay for the cheap John Deere sold at Lowe's is built to a price point just like the Cadet lawn tractor.

None of mine are built with bushings if it was I would not have bought it.
My little 180 is built light but it is built much heavier than a Cadet lawn tractor.
My 180 is a 1986 and still run great and I can open the hood without it bending like a Cadet

The older deeres where bullet proof but not so much with the new ones. I do like the x series like the 500s and up size models..
