John Deer D100 blue smoke when it gets warm

I am working on a JD D100 put new carburetor ,battery and did a oil change on the mower starts up fine and cuts great after about 15 minutes blue smoke starts coming out the exhaust and then it quits. If i let is sit for 15-20 minutes i can start it up again and runs great for about 15 minutes and then the blue smoke and it quits.

Any suggestions on where I need to start troubleshooting?

Being a Briggs single cylinder intek engine I would suspect that you are at the beginning of a failing head gasket. Head gasket will burn through the area between the cylinder wall and the push rod cavity.
 
Blue smoke is oil.

I hope she is not over heating.

Pull the oil dip stick and smell for gas. If you smell gas your carb needle/seat needs some love.

Check torque on head bolts.

Most likely as ILENGINE and Auto Doc's said, probably head gasket time.

If you want to permanently fix a head gasket on this particular engine, you need a solid copper gasket. If you do a search on here a while back, think Bertsmobile1 found a guy that makes solid copper gaskets for reasonable prices. Search for Intek and blown head gaskets.
