I have owned grasshopper mowers for years. I currently own a 718K that has over 2500 hrs on it and a 725k with 700 plus hrs. Reason for two oil mowers? My wife and I both like to mow. We mow over 10 acres. Love our Grasshoppers!. Question: 718K started blowing hydro oil out around the axle. I found the axle bearing was bad and replaced it as well as the axle seal. I replaced the oil and filters and the unit is still blowing oil around the axle. Any ideas as to the problem?

The seal at the axle is mostly to keep dirt & water out and away from the bearing... the hydraulic fluid is applied to the wheel motor at high pressure... axle seals will not hold it... You have an internal seal failure...
Take it apart, you should find it, ... :smile:KennyV
