You still need a small trailer or at least a open trailer/or a big truck for the brush and storm cleanup.

I plan to get a f250 because my dad has one and it is nice

I think you would be fine with a pickup truck. You can build a wooden box around the bed and have almost double the space.

If you say so most truck beds are't 5x8

Yeah i agree that an open 5x8 trailer would be very helpful but if he only buys an enclosed trailer he would be fine with just the truck. Just may take more trips to dump it if its a big job.

Well not only would it take more trips to dump. But not everyone will let you drive in there yard with a truck but would let you pull a trailer in there with a mower.

If you're doing lawn-care and loading mowers and equipment they tell me that an open trailer is better to use than an enclosed.

yeah i like open trailers better. You can just leave the ramps down for quick loading. Also have very easy access to weed wackers, blowers and anything else on the trailer without having to go inside the trailer.

Some have said that the enclosed trailer has an adverse effect especially on mowers, some say that because your dealing with an air cooled engine and if you're using your mower for an extended period of time and load on a enclosed that the mower doesn't have a chance to properly cool the engine before the next stop. I don't know how true that is but I do know that even being vented I've been in some enclosed trailers that are unbearably hot and when you add to that the heat of a mower engine and close the gate, it makes me wonder a little if the claims may be true.

Yeah, the negatives with enclosed trailers are that:
  • Well, they are more expensive!!
  • They can get hot.
  • They can trap the smell of gas or grass inside the trailer.
