While mowing my friend hit a rock and it bent the the thing that spins, is there a way to replace that??? I tried hammering it to unbend it but failed to do so.

If a rock was hit hard enough to bend the blade there is probably a shear pin/key that will need changing too.

There will need to be more information about the mower - Make, Model, Engine --
everything that will identify exactly what mower and engine is invloved.

If the shaft is bent --- It will need some serious engine work - If you or your friend are good at engine work, fine, if not you may be looking at $ for repair or a new mower.

You might get better advice here -- Good Luck !

Is the shaft the thing that comes right from the flywheel?

I'm not familiar with that model number - sounds like a push mower with the blade attached directly to the shaft. If that is the case, the shaft goes directly into the engine and will need to be replaced.

The blade is not directly attached to the shaft, I took it of already:D
Is there a way to change the shaft? I have another craftsman I can use for parts.

The blade is not directly attached to the shaft,

Is this not a rear bag, 21 cut 4.5 hp push lawnmower... ?
If the blade was not attached to the crank shaft... what was it attached to?

No, I was saying the blade is attached to the crank shaft but it comes off of the crank shaft.
Is there a way to change the crank shaft?

It is possible to change the shaft, but the engine will need to be taken apart and put back together.
