I have a craftsman 6 speed riding mower with a kohler pro 22 v twin motor. I was able to get it started today (had to clean carburator) i drove it approximately 200 yds to my grass area to begin cutting like i always do, put clutch in engaged blades lowered blades and when i let clutch go it wouldnt move in any gear! I tried everything to no avail even the range shift lever? I cant believe that the transmission or clutch went out on me after it was moving fine in all gears, but i fear the worse.

First thing to check would be the drive belt for the tranny. It will be tucked up into the frame, and you will have to about stand on your head to see it. It may of came off or broken.

Does the clutch feel the same as it did before it stopped moving?
If clutch is easy to push a spring could be broke or off.

Also see if the axle is turning inside one of the wheels.

Please let us know what you find.

We like to hear back even if you get it going.

I tried it and when i put in gear the only thing that moves very little is a pulley and belt. View attachment Doc1.pdfmower pic.JPG
