Boy that is expensive. Here I paid under $6 per quart for SAE15W50-Synthetic.

I have a shelf full of left over synthetic oils bought for different hydros over the years
Strait mineral oils are no problems because they can be added to to each other but synthetics can react adversely with each other so they sit on the shelf ready to top up the hydros that almost never need topping up .
Remember the $ 40 is our monopoly money but still is a 1/2 hour labour
The Toro oil is even more expensive & funny enough no one stocks it except in the oil change kits with $ 50 filters

Personally I don't fall for a lot the advertising hype. Companies will lie just to sell their products.

It was like Hydro Gear saying I couldn't use UV dye in their transaxles. Well I got one customer's mower with it in for the last two years. This how I have been finding his leaks. I finally found all the leaks on that old Hustler Super Z. Saved me having from to pull the pumps for complete seal replacements.
