Hi again,
X-One, 54". Does the pump belt need to be cogged? My opinion is that cogged is always better and that's what I have right now but needs replacing. Just want to make sure I get the right one that they call for.

Thanks!

I would stick whatever the OEM used but cogged raw should be fine.

Belts are cogged to allow them to run around smaller diameter pulleys without internal damage to the belt.
Cogging reduces the contact area between the pulley side walls and the belt surface so a cogged belt usually needs to be fitted tighter than a plain belt
When it comes to ZTR hydro belts the determining factor is the diameter of the tension pulley and how far the belt wraps around it .

In this case the smallest pulley is the flat idler pulley which 5 inches. Now if it had a two inch idler definitely would need the cogged belt.

Not sure but on my Raptor SD54 the original belt was cogged and then was updated by Hustler to a regular non-cogged belt. My cogged belt broke.
