Been lurking/trolling the board for a few weeks now, and thought it was time to post up. I've been an avid Wheel Horse fan/owner/user for the past 23 years. Current stable has a 1966 Model 656, and a 1974 B-80. Wonderful mowing machines, and have kept my yard looking very well groomed. But with machinery this old, these babies are starting to wear out, and they really should be enjoyed, and not abused.
Over the weekend, I purchased a used Hustler Fastrack 48". Tough decision, but I really needed to cut my mowing time in half, and make it enjoyable for my son. He loves the ZTR driving experience, and it was really difficult for me to get him to ride the horse for very long.
Anyway, just wanted to say hello, and look forward to sharing my lawn adventures with you all.
Hi and Welcome to the Forum. I have a neighbor up the road who has an old wheel horse that is still running. I help him keep it running when it gets out of kilter from time to time. There was another new guy on here that had an old wheel horse this week. I like Wheel Horse as those old Kohler cast iron engines are tough. The ones I've worked on have been temperamental when they've got some age on them.
