I am trying to test the starter relay. Can anyone tell me how many amps it takes for the relay to engage? Thanks

Have you done the starter relay kit?
How do you know which relays the one for the starter out of the two? Also I got a wire push button starter switch replaced all the relays the solenoid the battery safety switches and still hasn't fixed it I just want bypass all that crap and put a easy switch how to do that

There is a good reason for "all that crap " to be there and if you do not have enough understanding to follow a circuit diagram to bypass them then you are the very person that the stuff was fitted to protect .
The only modification I have ever needed to do to the wiring on a ZTR was to put a screw into the end of the seat switch to desensitize it so it did not cut the engine when the owner was driving way too fast over rough ground.
Most companies realised this was a problem so the better quality ones put a delay on the seat switch.
