Engine has a loud knock on startup then sounds normal after it gets up to speed does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?

If it knocks when you turn the blades on & off check the engine mounting bolts

If it knocks when you turn the blades on & off check the engine mounting bolts
And also when cranking to start or during the last couple of seconds when shut down.
