Husqvarna GT52XLS with Kawasaki FR730V 24 horsepower motor cuts off after mowing 1 hour

Hello all, I am working with a Husqvarna GT52XLS with Kawasaki FR730V 24 horsepower motor (motor has date of manufacture 08/16 labeled on it) and 118 hours on the meter. The issue I am running into is that after mowing for an hour the machine acts like it is about to run out of gas and shut off. However, if I turn off the mower deck and move the throttle down and back up a time or two the engine picks back up to running as normal. I can then re-engage the mower deck and cut for a few minutes before it repeats this same behavior. I have replaced the in-line fuel filter, the fuel pump, and the air filter. I have also blown out all the fuel lines to ensure they are clear. The only work around I have is letting the mower sit for extended time/overnight before running again but with keeping up 11 acres, this is not a great situation.

My first thought is it's running hot.
I see the engine is air cooled.
Is this a machine you just picked up ?

Remove Battery ground cable for SAFETY & place away from from battery. Remove blower housing & clean engine by hand, no water, especially engine cooling fins, I use a Shop Vac after loosening up dirt & crud between cooling fins etc.

When did you last service engine?

We bought this machine new a few years back. Yes, the Kawasaki motor is air cooled but have seen no indication of it running hot (though there is no meter to let you know). The battery keeps a good charge.

Remove Battery ground cable for SAFETY & place away from from battery. Remove blower housing & clean engine by hand, no water, especially engine cooling fins, I use a Shop Vac after loosening up dirt & crud between cooling fins etc.

This is a classic debris blocking the tank outlet problem or vacuum lock
First try to mow with the fuel cap loose so it can suck air down the threads but not slosh out fuel.
If that does not work, when the mower stops pull the fuel line off at the pump & blow back up the line a good few lung fulls .
Problem goes away = fuel supply problem
If your mower has a tank vent with a charcoal canister on it, time for a new one
Other wise it is drain the tank empty let it dry off then blow back up the fuel line with compressed air to blow the debris out.

When did you last service engine?

Thanks for the links! We have the hard copies of the manual that came new with the machine, but having the soft copies makes for quicker searching! Always do an engine service at the end of every season and the beginning as it is very dusty in our area. During the season, we service the engines on the machines we use every 40 hours or so.

Checking valve lash adjustment wouldn't hurt to check either...
