Hello New from NorthEast Ohio,
I have a GTH 2754 Riding mower that I am having a heck of time getting the deck adjusted.

1) the right side lift Link keeps popping out of the
Suspension arm. Why does this happen?
What is a good starting point for the lift link adjustment but?

2) I seem to be cutting very low. Even with the main adjusted near the top.

I have leveled the deck side to side. And have the front about a 1/2 inch lower than the rear ( measured from the blades)

Most of the time I can figure it out but this one has me stumped.

It happens because the action of the belt , or rather the reaction to the belt rotates the deck clockwise and the combined wear allows enough twist to occur that the deck falls off the pin.
Now is this your deck ?

If so is the spring # 38 there and is it in good condition ?
The spring goes on the right side of the bracket and pushes against the R clip to hold the pin # 35 in the closed position
Usually there would be a washer between the spring & the R clip.
The lift arm should slip over the sleeve on the deck bracket and then the pin passes through the sleeve to prevent the lift arm falling off.
The arm should not be hanging on the pin itself , it is just a locking device

1/2" is too low on blade rake....try 1/8"
