Hi all, I have a HR215 HX that was left outside for quite some time (not by me..LOL) . Still looks to be in pretty good condition. before I even attempt to try and start it up, I would like to do a service. First thing I have noticed is that the throttle cable and the Blade Clutch cable..I think,,, (the one that attaches to the upper handle area, not the shifter), are not moving at all. Is there any hope in getting them going again? If not, I am not sure if these cables are even available any longer. I checked for parts and both these cables are not listed as part numbers on the Honda Parts Site.

No
And all Honda cables are available down here
And because of the large number of Honda clones most are available as after market cables as well .
Having said that I make my own because I have rolls of bulk cable & a soldering pot .
But before I realized I could use the motorcycle stuff I used to buy cables from both Rotary & Stens
For some more difficult cables that have threaded adjusters swaged on I get them remade by a local wire control company Conwire as some cables are stupid prices.
The deck hangers for the Swisher are $ 60 a hit & the bespoke cables are $ 20 and made from a better grade of wire.
The brake cable for the Pro Rider is over $ 100 from Husqvarna , got is made bespoke for $ 30 , would have been $ 20 but it was a complete cable not just an inner replacement .
