I would recommend you all keep in mind that SEO is not a one-time thing, it's an ongoing process that requires consistent effort. In addition to hiring an SEO expert, you might want to look into manual link building services. These are services that can help you get high-quality backlinks to your website, which can improve your search engine rankings and drive more traffic to your site. Crowdo.net offers link building services that could be helpful for your website. Also, make sure that your website has high-quality content that is relevant to your target audience.

SEO's unless done very very well ( read expensive ) are a total waste of time & money
You want potential customers in your foot print zone seeing your page not people 3000 miles away

I come from an IT background and many years of business including marketing. The first thing you do is copyright your name in the state of NY and trademark it nationally. Most likely it will be hard because it is common but insist you are only trademarking the phrase. You can then pay Google to move the results up. HOWEVER sitting back and waiting for web traffic to drive customers to you would be a mistake. The best form of advertising is word of mouth. As someone suggested, a small yard sign in exchange for a $35 a month discount or something. You can write off the cost of the signs but not the income you never got and the discount. If it takes 10 customers with signs to get you one new customer, that cost is $350,, Is that reasonable? Another thing is you can put an ad in Craigslist or FaceBook Market place with a discounted price on aeration, or something like that with photos of some lawns you do with the owner's permission, and a link to your webpage - Start building clientele. Hang door fliers with a coupon for the first mowing on the adjacent homes when you mow a home nearby. Good luck. Building a business is a slow and tedious process, but it can be fun too.

The free Google business site will no longer be offered as of March 2024. This is what I have been using now for several years with strong results. I will be making a basic one page site to replace it. Most of my business is referrals at this point. Also a professional sign posted out front helps. Spending thousands of dollars for SEO (search engine optimization) may work well for some larger companies, however, never understood the point for a one person shop.

ok, I have understood everything you have said very well, thank you all for your comments, but if for example I need a seo link services where can I get it? I have tried to search on my own but reading the customer comments the "SEO experts" I see that they are not so experts after all, that is why I need them to recommend an SEO expert that they have already hired and have great and good experience. With which one can you recommend me? As far as possible, your links last over time and are not deleted after a few days.

SEO's never work for local service businesses
All they do is scan the meta data and add the most searched for words into your meta data .
SO I am looking for a pest exterminator & your web site turns up .
I am looking for a mowing service 300 miles away and your site turns up
There are many specialists search engines that geo locate , down here "Local Search" used to be the most common but they started taking on national businesses so have gone out of favour being replaced with face book market place and believe it or not ebay .
Remember you want paying customers not site visits .

It turns out that if you already have a free Google page, it did not just disappear after June, like I initially thought. Nothing has really changed except one or two things that don’t affect me. Had a Computer Guy explain it to me. The phone continues to ring off the hook for me with new business, and referrals and existing customers. Keywords and reviews play a important part in SEO results apparently.
