Is that what those winged things are called that fly around outside? We get these from time to time and I just can't stand them. Does anyone know of a way to get rid of those pests?
If it looks like a house fly on a LOT of steroids ... that's a horse fly, Had them around here when we had cows and horses, but without any large livestock they don't stay around. http://www.isledegrande.com/giimages9/horsefly.jpg
They bite hard and hurt... and draw blood...
Horse flies are just gigantic flies... but a lot of fun with a badminton or tennis racket ... :smile:KennyV

Horse flies are 1"+ long & black, deer flies are a little smaller & brighter colored. Both BITE!!!
I prefer a tennis racket myself, KennyV. Seriously, if they're a major problem, the sprays that work on other flying insects might kill them. Does anyone know for sure?
