Honda or Toro

Due to the transition of some family members out of their single family homes and into senior living, I have acquired a Honda HRR2169VKA and a Toro Recycler 20377. I believe the engine on the Honda is GCV160 and on the Toro a 6.75 Kohler. Both units are in very good condition. My question: I plan to keep one for personal use and donate the other. Which one would you keep?

Can’t go wrong with either one. Put them both up for sale and keep the one that doesn’t sell first.
 
My opinion, me only, I would keep the Toro.

Honda makes good engines no doubt. This is where they fail. They don't side sling. Push mowers have side slung since they came out. I LOVE mowing a tall patch watching the cuttings fly. So great engines and fair only mowers.
 
I would keep the Toro because in the long run the rear wheel drive on the Honda axle will start to rust at the bushings and will be hard to pull backwards. Toro will never do this. Both are good mowers until this happens to the Honda, and it will happen.
 
Front wheel drive systems on the Toro 20377 are junk. You are lucky to get 2 years out of the drive wheels becausee t they have plastic gears, and against a metal drive gear. Depending on how much it is used I’ve seen them go out in 6 months This is the main reason I recommend keeping the Honda and junking the Toro.
