honda hr215sxa replace hr215k1sxa engine

can some of the more knowledgeable posters answer me if a honda hr215sxa can replace a seized hr215k1sxa engine? looking at the schematics it appears they are almost identical except the oil pan assembly # is different. any help would be appreciated.

Honda use K to signify a major upgrade and have been doing it from day 1 almost right across the entire Honda range.
So the k1 in 215k1sxa signifies a major upgrade and as all the rest of the model numbers are the same it should be interchangable.
If it was not Honda would have given it a new model name.
