We were away for 10 days the lawn was in dire need of a mow when we got back. Grass was so high that I forgot about the water dept valve sticking up from the ground. 🤬
One blade was fine, the other one looked like Superman bent the end of It. Off to my local dealer, got new blades, installed them, no biggie. Now my cutting is off. Leaving a high strip in the lawn. Is it possible I’ve bent something?

It's possible the deck got bent... Seems the dealer would've checked to make sure it cut level.

It is fairly common for a spindle housing to crack at the mounting bolts
So without the belt the spindle sits strait
When the PTO is engaged the crack opens up which twists the blade
Aldo the actual deck hangers can get bent so the deck sits straiter
The blade overlap is very small on all new decks
If you look down the left side is further forward than the right so that the cutting circles of the blades can overlap when going directly forward
If the left gets pushed back just a little then there is no overlap .
