It's a hobby for me.

Acquiring suitable mowers to fix has been getting harder in the last year or so. I'm only interested in two-stroke mowers and less interested in ones made in the last 25 years or so.

I do go wild when I see a 1970s Lawn-Boy listed on CL.

In the last few years I haven't seen many mowers sitting on the curb for free or for the trash man. I see a few on Craigs but they get snapped up about as fast as they go on the list. As far as the 2 cycle ones go, they're even rarer to find. Last year I got a Lawnboy 2 cycle mower free from a lady who was moving. I have yet to work on it. Two friends of mine won't use any other kind of push mower than a green LawnBoy! Me? I'll mow w/ whatever I can get started at the time. As I said in an earlier post I'm tapering off on doing mower work, starting to thin out this winter. Sell off mowers in Spring and stop taking in more mowers as well as repairs.
