I think it depends on the individual person. I have seen some people say they charge by the hour and others have said they charge depending on the specific job. I think it depends what you are most comfortable with.

You say you don't charge by the hour but you do you just don't bid it per hour you bid one set price but you came to this price by using how long it will take. So yes by the hour

Yes always need to consider time but never tell the customer how much time your bidding it for. If you bid for 6 hours and you finish in 4 the customer will feel cheated saying you still owe then 2 hours labor. If you didn't tell them that they will never feel that way and you make a profit.

Estimated hours + skill required + clean up amount + hauling debris + gas and supplies needed = job bid.
