Alanky -- thanks for the info about the two-cycle Snappers. I didn't know that existed and now I'm on a mission to look for them. There used to be a Snapper factory a little south of Atlanta and I do see a lot of the brand around here but now I know to look for two-cycles.

I like your method of stacking.

As far as I know they are original, I bought this at an estate sale for next to nothing.

Ohh ok. Would you think that the plastic lawn mower wheels from Candian Tire fit or that I could find some new metal bushings at a car parts store?

I'd try some metal bushings first, probably your least expensive route.

I know opinions can be mixed on the Tecumsehs but that trio of 2cycles is way cool! I used to have a non-sp snapper with the 4cycle 5hp TVS 120 and it was great. That's another one I wish I never sold. I do admire your collection there, I may have to start stacking mine like you have yours though as I'm running out of room in my garage. Right now most of the space is taken up with firewood and I barely have room for the 6 mowers, 2 weedeaters and one edger that I have. I think I'll limp through the winter as-is and adjust how I stack the firewood next season...because I can't pass up good deals on old snapers when they pop up.

Are those 3 Tecs the only 2cycles you have or do you have any others?

Thanks! I have the three 2-cycle tecumseh mowers pictured, finally found a Wisconsin 2-cycle, and I have an older snapper 2-cycle I'm not sure who makes the engine. Guy I bought it from said its a Clinton engine, but it looks tecumseh-ish to me...just older. No name or engine numbers on it. Only thing I see is a patent number, which I could probably Google and see who has the patent on it. It has a twist knob behind the tank (which is mounted on the front of the engine) to control stop, fast, slow, choke, and off.

The ones with the twist knob at the tank were 3HP Tecumseh. They were an engine option for the 19".

I'm sure that's what it is then, the mower is a 19". I'm not crazy about that particular mower or engine honestly.

I don't think I've ever seen that 3 hp tec engine before. Hey that shelf setup u got in your shed is nice, I like the arrangement. I've been thinking about getting a 10x10 for just that purpose, maybe next year. Of course, I still need to figure out a better place for the firewood.

Last weekend I found a couple good old snapper 21s at the local mower shop that lets me take stuff out of their "junk pile" out back. I didn't have my trailer so I'm heading there tomorrow to pick them up. One is a mid-80s key-start 4hp Briggs. That one is probably going to a friend of mine that wants the deck but there were some others that caught my eye that I need to rescue. I'll post info when i get them home. But having a shed like u got there would because good place for any of my non-op units and parts. Hmmmmm...

It wasn't shat I had hoped. Rust covering everything, couldn't even remove any nuts and bolts. I didn't take a close enough look at it last week when I found it I guess. Oh well. I'll keep looking.
