Happy new year everyone.

Also, has anyone seen a copy of the 2025 terms and conditions? I want to thoroughly read through them before I agree to anything.

Depends on what T&C you're referring to.

Spectrum just wanted me to upgrade my 10 yr old modem but the terms including a must agree to binding arbitration clause just to increase my internet speeds. Well I fine with the current level since I am limited to 100 mbps so going to 400 mbps isn't going to do a thing for me. And of course they sent out a lousy modem with the PUMA chipset. I just simply return the box without even opening it up as the terms said if I open the box that I agreed to the terms. Well I not signing away my legal rights that easily.

I probably just buy a new modem and drop their phone service as they got the voice modems restricted to themselves only. Consumer Cellar is just as cheap anyways except I would need a second line. But I just didn't want a cell phone as service here is lousy.

But if are referring the other major T&C that the voters signed us up for, you are like the rest of us royally screwed. It is one of the reasons I am reducing my business activities. It looking like "Liar, Liar Pants on Fire" as they seems to be talking out of both sides of their mouths at the same time. Telling the voters what they wanted to hear just to get the votes and doing the opposite or worst. Nothing is going get done as no one can work with the others (evenly split Congress). No one is going to happy as it appears all hell is going be turned a loose. I just going to hunker down and avoid everyone that I can. Just hope they don't screw up SS and Medicare. Sorry just my opinion.

It is going to be bigger nightmare if things keep on the current path than I am currently dealing with the two major parts distributors I have online. Neither one of them knows what going on as they changed software and now trying to run to completely different systems at the same time. Even the price files are no longer valid except from Rotary and Stens. I simply don't if I am going to get the parts I order or they are going to cost. Just can't run a business this way. Right now I am better off ordering thru Amazon and Temu as at least I know what costs are.

Matter of fact I got to call Monday about an order I place with RBI over a month ago as when I looked Saturday the system said the parts were shipped and received but I only got a partial shipment and not a full shipment.

Yes appears it going to be a major train wreck for sure and probably will take another 20 yrs to recover. And I very doubtful some will even learn their lesson in the end either. Just hoping to survive it. If I can keep the business from completely failing I be ahead. I already ended this year in the Red. Not by much but I will start off a lot deeper in the red but that is normal for the beginning of a year; just have pull in some of my savings and then pay myself back later with interest.

At least I kinda was planning on bad times so I have no major outstanding loans to deal with; unlike, one of my customers that just could not leave those easy finance companies alone. Now he has a 20K loan with 29.9 APR to payoff with only his SS to do it with. I kept telling him to get them paid off and not borrow any more from them as they were eating him alive on interest. He probably going to lose his farm over the deal but that what hardheadedness can get you. A good fellow that is just too hardheaded.

Some people just wont listen to someone that knows better from experience.

Well if more people were like you these ripoff finance companies would not exist anymore. One of them local was change 300 APR on a loan but were conning people by posting the loan rate as a monthly rate of 25 % in the fine print so it sounded a lot lower until you added it up for a year.

It like my local CU that I was interested in transferring my CC to. They simply would not back off the high interest rate. They wanted 24.99 APR when my current CC is only 8.9 APR so I keeping that Dayton account open. BTW even they have gotten no interest payments from me as I payoff the card every month. I have to have it because of the business.

One thing is for sure, the economy is in a recovery stage. It has been for the last year. We just have to be patient. Recoveries always take longer. Hopefully the new president won't do like last time and go on an $8 trillion spending spree and devalue the currency another 16%. I'm think about sending him a new vote pen. Seems he misplaced his last time.

I'm probably going to start advertising on FB again next year. This year, I was planning on a new dash for my ram. And to replace a few other things on it. But I got doxxed online and shut most of my social media stuff off.

Although, it was nice to have a summer to myself for a change. First one since I was a teenager.

First he got to get the debit limit moved as the government is hitting it next month before he even gets in. He tried to get it removed so he could go hog wild. Right now it looks like is forced to keep his word about keeping the debit under control.

Yes things were improving but now it all on pause until we see what the next bunch of nutcases does to us. So glad I at retirement stage now. If things get bad I can always drop everything and just go fishing. Of course then the darn game wardens are a pesky bunch of A's.

BTW I have seen some major prices increases already on some parts.
