Hi, all. I recently moved to San Diego after living in the midwest for most of my life. I just couldn't take the winters anymore. Growing season is much longer in San Diego than in Chicago!
Here in the deep south we have milder winters and longer growing seasons but the last few days have been cold -- hardcore cold -- highs in the upper 30sF.
Living in San Diego is interesting because not being a native, I sometimes forget that I probably shouldn't be planting vegetables in November. But for some reason, they still grow.
Thanks to watering, the grass does need mowing all year long. It doesn't grow much during the winter, but still enough to mow every two weeks. You can actually start a lawn in December here. :confused2:
