Check out the Meg-Mo blades - my deck has less build up since I put these blades on - they kick back like bush hog blades if you hit anything and they have more lift and throw things out the shute farther.

Some decks just tend to clog more than others. My Dads 10,000 dollar Scag clogs pretty badly. My 4,000 dollar Dixon can mow under any conrditions even in the rain and not clog, it will throw out clumps sometime if it's wet, but hardly any buildup.
Seems lime they could get the deck design down by now.

True that. My $1,500 Cub Cadet can mow through high wet grass without much problem.

Geeze I just reread my post and that is the last time I try to post a quick note from my phone. Hardly any words spelled right.
Thanks for not trashing me on it.

I think you can expect around $80 per blade... if your deck has 3 blades 3 X 80 = around $240...

You can contact at his web site. meg-mo.com
He is a good guy but like I have said before, they do not work on all decks, don't know why:frown:.
I have 2 sets of 3:mad: that don't give a decent cut.
Regular blades and Gator blades do great. KennyV

I can tell you something about the Meg-mo system. It cuts almost as well when one mounts it upside down and backwards. I did notice some misses where the grass was really high, but couldn't believe it when taking it off to sharpen the blades. I did think it sounded different too, especially after I put it back on properly. The older I get the worser I get.

once my "Crapsman" is up and running again.

Boy isn't that the truth. I've yet to see a Craftsman that is worth bringing home. I had one and it was horrible. I bought it because it was reasonably priced and a small rider since I have a lot of obstacles to mow around. I didn't want to outlay a bunch on a zero turn mower and I guess I got what I paid for. I couldn't keep the dratted thing running long enough to mow the whole yard. I finally gave up and took it back.

I wish I had read about this back in the spring. I have spent the summer with my ice scraper digging the grass off my mower deck every couple weeks. Thanks for all the great ideas!
