I have a new Z mower with a Kawasaki FX1000V on it. It starts and runs fine when cold. but after running it for about 30 min and it gets hot it begins to backfire. If i pull out the choke it helps some but then even that stops working. It gets so bad that it enen stops running but will start back still backfiring though

Is the backfire out the intake or exhaust? How many hours?

If pulling on the choke makes it better then either there is an obstruction in the fuel tank or lines that prevents the full flow of fuel or the engine is overheating
Simple things first. pull the blower housing off & check the engine is clean
While it is off start the engine and spray the engine from the head to the carb with WD 40 from a trigger pack.
If you get clouds of white smoke out of the exhaust then you have an air leak
