I have a 2002 Grasshopper 721G2 with Manual Deck P/N 9852. I am wondering how to check the Gear Oil.With the deck upright, the fill plug is at the bottom right hand corner & close to the bottom of the Gear Box. If you remove the fill plug, you wouldn’t be able to put very much oil in the Gear Box & when the deck is down in normal position the fill plug would be on the bottom. Would you have to remove the Gear Box to check the Gear Oil?
