Finding Bigfoot / Sasquatch....

Ok this is gonna sound really off the wall but I've been watching this channel on tv and a program called Finding Bigfoot and I was just wondering how many people believe in this creature. Is it real

or is it just a figment of someones imagination. I guess the thing I find particularly interesting are the number of sitings throughout North America and Canada and for that matter from all over the world, Checkout this link and wonder. We can find the remnants of dinosaurs that became extinct 65 million years ago and yet there's no plausible evidence that the Big foot/Sasquatch/Skunk ape ever even existed?
It's nothing but speculation. It's not even speculation....
I won't argue that there are people who truly believe that they have seen these aberrations. I won't even say that they are not telling the truth, but until I actually meet Harry, (from Harry and the Henderson's) I'm not likely to change my opinion.

On the surface it sounds bogus, but when you look into it a little more through the history and accounts plus some of the footage it has made me have an open mind to it. One thing that has convinced me to keep an open mind was an episode of or program about Bigfoots on some remote Alaskan island. They have shown some footage of in the woods where there are big trees that look like they have been plucked out of the ground by there roots and turned upside down and stuck in the ground. Someone on the show speculates that that is how a Bigfoot up there marks it's territory. Now who and how and why would that happen? I could see if it was one tree if it was a hoax but who the heck would do that to a bunch of them? For a person or people without equipment it would be pretty hard I would think. A person just couldn't do that easily.

It has been Over well 30 years that everyone has had the ability to record pictures and Over 20 years that Many have cameras with them Always...
Plus the other obvious reasons not to "believe" in imaginary things... :smile:KennyV

Nah,i think that whole bigfoot thing is a huge pile of hogwash.
Its very suspicious that whenever there is so called "footing" it's always vague,to far off or the tape is scratchy like a worn out securety video tape.
Hunters have aparently seen them,but no one ever bagged one...These "hunters" are known to drink a lot when on a hunt,..no wonder they are "seeing" things

Sasquatch are portrayed as being... "Big black and hairy and stink like he!!."..so I think sasquatch is pronouced wrong ,it most likely is ...."squawsnatch" :wink:

It's funny you should say that the Skunk Ape of Florida ever or even existed. I for one can see where they could or would exist considering what the idiots did years ago turning all different types of primates out in the Silver Springs area for filming purposes and never being able to catch the things and since then they've done nothing but populate the state.
So as far as seeing a Skunk Ape I really couldn't say, but people seeing some type of large primate in the woods or in game preserves throughout Florida would not be out of the question.

I don't know if they exist or not, but I do watch the show sometimes.
It strikes me that they do some things that for me are STUPID.

They have a crew filming and they wear IR lights and cameras - could it be that what they are looking for may be able to see those lights and avoid being seen.

They make all kinds of stupid noises - is it possible that what they are looking for avoids those noises that are obviously NOT natural. I could see tree knocks and stone knocks, but humans attempting to imitate calls --- NOPE.

IF the creatures exist they must be quite bright to avoid most contact and sightings. Most animals can recognize and identify noises made by their own kind and eliminate foreign sounds.

Just random thoughts - ???????

The shows for the most part on TV are asinine. I would agree, those shows where they are running around the woods at night are more theatrics in my opinion to sell the show. Who knows if for the most part those scenes are filmed in someones backyard in town. Then there are a few of the shows, that like I said earlier keeps my mind open.

I would agree some of the things they do are ridiculous and can be stupid. I just wonder what they would do if they actually found one. LOL

I don't think the shows are asinine especially when consider the number of organizations that are all involved in the research of Bigfoot / Sasquatch. Another thing to consider is with all the sitings that people have reported, I've never heard anyone offer any proof, nothing but conjecture that they don't exist. I think the shows do keep peoples mind open to the idea that these things could be real.
