I bought a Ferris z700 about 2 months ago. I put about 30 hours of use on it when the engine (Briggs and Stratton 27HP) started revving up and down. Evidently the carburetor needs to be adjusted, but it is not accessible by the user without voiding warranty. I have tried calling and emailing both Ferris and Briggs and Stratton with no success. They don't answer the phone. Service really seems to suck for this product.

You will find anything to do with Warranty would be the dealers reasonability. Its been that way with any dealer I ever worked for.

Where did you buy the Unit and have you tried calling them. You'll probably end up taking the mower to the place you purchased in and have them do the work under a warranty claim if it's something that is covered under warranty..

Don't be surprised if at the dealer the subject goes something like this.

Dealer: have you been using alcohol gas?

Customer: yes I have.

Dealer: well then, we will fix it but it won't be covered under warranty.

Take a recorder and play it back for us so we can see how close I got .
