I own a Ferris IS1000z 48” mower. I bought this mower off a private seller last year, and it worked amazing for its first spring/summer landscaping season. I did all the regular maintenance in the winter (oil change, oil filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, etc). However, the fuel filter I took off the mower was bigger than the one that came with the tune up kit. At the time, I didn’t think it was an issue. However, I took it out for the first time today, and it would run great for about 20 mins, then stop as if it was out of gas. I would start it up again, get a good 5-10 minutes of mowing, and the same thing would happen. Could this be from the filter being too small? If not, any ideas on what it could be? Thanks
The replacement filter I got is also smaller than original, mowed the other day for 2 hrs. no issues.

I'd check for fuel cap venting issues and trash in bottom of fuel tanks, both tanks have strainers at the ends of fuel line in tank, need to check them
