Where is your favorite place to spend on vacation? I usually go to Dale Hollow lake in north Tennessee and spend a week fishing and being lazy  .

My favorite vacation spot is Ocracoke Island -- on the outer banks of North Carolina. But my "farm" in Cleburne County, AL is such a relief from the city that it's almost like going on vacation every week -- but with a lot of work -- I always have a list of projects.

A little spot on the beach on Maui in Hawaii. There was just this idealic moment that I had when I was there. Beautiful night, feet in the sand, soft music drifting through the air, ocean waves crashing into the rocks and beach, and in the distance, the lights of a cruise ship. Oh it was perfect.

Had been self employed for so long ... the last real vacation I can remember was around 1970...
Just occurred to me it may be time for another... :smile:KennyV

My favorite vacation spots vary between being in my boat fishing or being in my hammock thinking about fishing, not necessarily in that order of course!

I love that -- Home! It is like the stay-cations that are becoming more popular. I have to agree actually, though I do love Hawaii.

I like to visit a different national park each year. Last year we went to Yosemite in California for 3 weeks. We went in September to avoid the major summer crowds.
