probably a better battery then the mower battery . I have noticed the warranty on most mower batteries is 90 days , I would just tarp strap the jump start pack to it, Elon said we need to cut back on wasteful spending
its an x-10 jump starter. About $180. I did see a youtube video where a guy bought a harbor freight 12 v tool batter by warrier for 15 buck with charger. I really like the idea of not having to have my lawn mower near and outlet to charge it. I could get a little plastic box to hold it and tarp strap that. LOL . I only with he would have said how many starts he got from the harbor freight battery.

Remove spark plug wire, turn mower on side -- with carburetor up -- very carefully watch the bolt in the center of the crankshaft, turn the blade, if it is not true and goes in a circle the crank is bent. Sometimes it is easier to have someone pull the startter rope while someone watches the crankshaft. You may also watch the ends of the blade and see if it passes the housing at the same place -- just don't try that with a bent blade.
I believe the crankshaft is bent and causing enough resistence the electric starter can't turn the engine over.

Keep in mind the charging system in that mower is probably 3 amp or less and starting it for 5 and 10 minute jobs will never keep up your battery. A cheap battery maintainer left on between uses would help a bunch.
There is no alternator on those; they need to be charged via the supplied charger as needed.

First, I recommend you disconnect the spark plug, then lift the front and have a helper stand on the handle to keep it up. Inspect the blade for being badly bent on the outer end of one portion (it will be obvious if it is). If it is, not only is the blade bent, but the flywheel shear key will have failed.

Check out a site called Teryl fixes all, he is a bit of a character but knows mower repair very well.

Hopefully this mower did not bend the crankshaft end where the blade attaches, if it did, plan on getting a new mower.

Sorry, a shop will cost you a 1 hour "diagnostic charge" just to tell you it is beyond repair.

If it starts with one or two pulls, then the issue is the electric starter or the battery, period. They are a PITA, add weight, and don't turn the engine fast enough unless they are fully charged with a good battery and starter. If you do not have access to the charger that came with the unit, purchase a .5 AMP "Battery Tender Junior" brand charger and leave it hooked up when not in use. Do not get a battery from Amazon, as they are all Chinese junk no matter the reviews. Purchase one from Napa. It is a 7 AH battery; bring it with you when you go to purchase a replacement.
