I have a b&s on my sears self propelled mower.

128M05-5468-F1. It's on a sears lawn mower the electric start was working fine until my daughter his a rock. Stopped it dead. Now the electric start won't turn the motor fast enough to start it. Battery is fully charged. I took the top off and the starter motor is turning the motor over. The mower starts on first pull or second pull pretty easy. this is the lawn mower

917370441 . Any advise is greatly appreciated.

I am guessing the shock from the abrupt stop caused a poor connection between the battery and the starter. You might start at the battery + and - and remove them and sand paper everything then the other end of those two wires. Sometimes the ground they fasten the neg - cable to the body so you might also have to loosen the motor bolts enough to get the sand paper between the engine block and the frame. The engine is aluminum and the frame is steel so there is always a issue there with the heavy gray dust that does not conduct electricity very well if at all.

I'll check and clean all the connections. Thanks

I’m betting that you will find a parcially sheared fly wheel key.
Is getting to the fly wheel hard? This sounds above my paygrade.lol Any idea what a lawn mower shop would or should charge?

When you try to start it do you hear a click at the Solenoid? If you do not see if you can turn the blades by hand. if you cannot I would say you have a bent shaft.

That is the big question, as everyone is going to be different. Best to get on the phone and check with your local shops, as labor rates are different and it will also depend on how busy they are.

Try google first or youtube. If you lack the wrenching jumbo, call a mower shop.
