Echo SRM-225 No start

Did you see the fuel go into the carb, or just see it going through the fuel lines? Let us know what happens with fresh fuel.
I put a brand new spark plug in, and after attempting to start, I pulled it and it was wet, so I'm pretty sure fuel is getting into the cylinder. I'll change the fuel tomorrow and see if anything changes. I'm also going to check for proper compression. What readings should I get with this engine?

Pulled the cylinder looked pretty badly scored, piston and ring looked pretty worn also. Parts to repair added up to almost the price of a new unit so I pitched it.

Off course the piston, rings, and cylinder are expensive. So you are telling me you have 140 psi compression and the piston, rings, and cylinder are badly scored? Doesn’t add up. Also, you actually took the cylinder off to look at it, versus removing the muffler and looking at everything that way?
