I have a Murray riding mower - model 46102x6b - which has a broken drive belt. I got another belt, and the two that drive the blades, but cant get the original belt off.
I have dropped the deck, removed the two smaller pulleys, disengaged the steering column, and loosened the belt retainer posts around the transmission pulley. All is good, except there is a shaft that is still in the way that connects to the transmission.
I cant seem to see an easy way to get the belt around this shaft.
I need help.
Date of manufacture is: 00066

If you are referring to the shifter linkage you remove the hair pin and separate it from transaxle shift yoke.
