Drive belt hard to install on riding mower

Deck comes off.
Steering gear snap ring and gear removed.
Steering pulled up enough so the drive can removed and install.
Steering shaft lowered into place.
Gear and snap ring installed.
Deck re-attached.
And don't forget to check the steering shaft bearing for excessive wear.

How long does this take i may just use the original belt for now.
I’ve done a many of these. Length of time needed depends on many things. I’ve done it in 45 minutes, but had one which took nearly 2 hours.

I posted that cause one was labeled murray and then seen their was a seperate mower repair forum area and thought to post their for specific advice. Thanks you can delete this one if youre a moderator.
It's also a good thing if you have a owners manual handy and read the MOTION DRIVE instructions BEFORE starting. and do not cut the old belt off. You need to leave it on so as you know what needs to be removed to get the new belt installed. Also compare the length of the old belt to the NEW belt before trying to install the new belt.
AND have a calm patient attitude BEFORE starting realizing it may take awhile and you are getting experience repairing your mower yourself. The first time is a learning experience.
