Doesnt want to climb hills any more, need help (please)

I feel like the belts stretch eventually, but have heard they don't. They definitely wear, and become looser. Is there an idler or tension pulley? Is it working? There's usually a spring pulling on the pulley to provide tension. What do the pulley's look like? Some are plastic and wear out.

Could of lost an idler pulley or some other deck bearing. There is a heavy belt tensioning spring on a lot of riders that might of fell off. Most likely in your case simple wear and tear. Look at your parts list for your mower. Check everything drive related.

Finally getting back to this.

Even if the belt is replaced it could still be slipping if it has a plastic v-idler in the drive path. Husqvarna did upgrade these to a metal on this particular mower.

Deck bearings has nothing to do with drive [motion] problems that would be a separate issue.

Well as soon as the rain stops i will get underneath and take a look, by the way when I first start mowing it goes up the incline then slowly gets tougher until it will no longer climb the hill

Well I went out t5o mow the lawn, mower barley moved and when it did it "jogged" forward. Then the belt started smoking and that was the end of the belt Ant ideas ??
